Johannes and Rosa are very friendly. You can rely on their recommendations. They help you whatever you want. Good breakfast and hot water. The ubication is so good to go to restaurants and Kelimutu. You will feel confortable.

Staff really helpful - organised trip to Kelimutu within a few seconds, and sorted a bus to the next destination, making phone calls when it was late etc. to make sure we got on. Fab breakfast with fresh fruit and a choice of eggs or (excellent) banana pancake. Shower was properly hot which was amazing.

ALL. It locates in Moni, the best spot to go to Kelimutu to see sunrise. The host, Billy was amazing, he was so helpful and managed everything well. He helped to get a ride to Kelimutu and also the travel to go back to Ende. The room was comfy and huge, I love the fresh smell linen that made me slept really well. The place was near to small river so you can hear the soft stream in the night, so peaceful. The breakfast was simple yet so tasty, with generous portion of coffee! Love it so much. I def recommend this place if you wanna have a comfy stay at Moni.

The Geckos Homestay is really incredible. Located within pastoral tropical landscape, it provides excellent quiet and comfort bungalows, all services to visit Kelimutu and other spots as well as delicious breakfast. Our children enjoyed master-class in Indonesian cooking. We've been more than satisfied by staying in the Geckos and even expand our visit for one more night. Everything was great. Tobias (owner)was exceptionally helpful, answered all our questions and even DIY repaired our motorbike when he noticed our exhaust pipe cover was loose and dangling off the bike. What an exceptional host. The room was very clean, beers cold, and the room was remarkably quiet given that the place is on the main road. Gado-Gado was delicious as were croquets.

Hot shower, good bed, fan, nice breakfast, water and tea/coffee refills. Haja is an incredibly warm person who takes great care of her guests. She made us dinner a couple of nights and can rent scooter, organize rides, etc.

It's a nice property, the room is a bit older but it's ok. It's very clean and the view from the balcony is magnificent. Lista, the owner, was so nice to me, she even offered to accompany her to her school because she is a teacher. great time shared with her and great stay. I recommend 100%

Best thing about the place were the host. Its a family run set up. They genuinely take care of the guests. We also got some food made to order done. It was really good.

Hidayha There are no words to describe how wonderful my time here in Moni at Brian and Rose‘s Homestay was. I arrived one day ahead of my booking. Just around lunch, and the guests from the night before just left. So my room was not ready yet. But still, i felt welcomed the minute i got there. While Rose cleaned the room, Brian had coffee with me on the terrace and explained me the surroundings and what’s to do around. From the house with the nice garden you have a great view over the hills. And i could observe how clean Rose prepared the room. And she didn‘t just changed the sheets, she changed the whole blanket. Brian has a motorbike and offered me to show me around and to drive me up to the crater in the morning. He even invited me for dinner because it was his daughters birthday. During dinner with the whole family I really felt like a part of the family. They are all very polite, friendly and funny. Specially Brian makes a lot of jokes. And Rose is an excellent cook! The location, like most homestays in the village have, is very good. There is an ATM just next door, and the best restaurant from the village is just across the road. The house has a beautiful garden and an amazing view. Rose and Brian did all they could and more to make you feel happy and at home. They are not after the money, they want you to have the best time you could have in Moni. Although the whole village still strouggles from very little tourists since corona (having such an iconic mountain right above the village, most of them depend on visitors) For me though it was great, that there weren‘t many tourists. I had a very authentic and great time in Moni. For my departure they Brian could organise a seat in a shared taxi to Bajawa. They help you to get on the right bus, and can even help you to organise transport to all of Flores. (There was another guest who did a private tour for a few days from Labuan Bajo to Moni with Brian‘s Brother.
