Everything: best stay ever in India. It’s hard to find an accommodation that will be better than Celso‘s homestay. The owner Joel is very nice. He is so polite and was always there to help. The room was extraordinary. Facing a swamp area, it was quite, while offering a beautiful view with funky birds and farm animals in the morning. The rooms were extraordinary clean and the AC and fans worked very well. The kitchen is very nice, with a fridge and even a water purifier. The bathroom is beautiful! The homestay is located in a very lively, yet off-beat and non-touristy part of Panaji. This makes it very relaxed and down to earth. The connection to the local bus is very good (5-10 min walk), we never really needed a taxi.

They also kindly allowed us to keep our luggage in their living room past the check-in time, until we were ready to leave.

Full of advice and happy to help organise things. There's a very regular and cheap bus from the stop nearby straight into town and the bus station or you can take cheap taxis.

Sharon and Roy are really great hosts. They suggested a self guided walking tour, helped us with the short cut to bus station (over a footbridge- 5 mins tops) recommended restaurants, money changer. Basically everything we needed! If you are in two minds as to whether to book this, or the other more famous villas, think no more and book this. You won’t regret it!
