The Old School House - Gaulverjaskoli’s rooms are simply furnished and have shared bathroom facilities. All rooms offer views of the surrounding lowlands. Guests can cook their meals in the fully equipped shared kitchen.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the old school house! Greg and Magnea are very kind and welcoming. This booking is not just a place to sleep but an experience that I would recommend 10/10! The rooms are incredibly cozy and quiet with comfortable beds, the communal areas are super clean and the location is just very special. The surroundings are stunning, you can watch the stars at night from the hottub outside and if you’re there at the right time - catch aurora! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a lovely stay at Guesthouse Heba. We stayed 2 nights. Heba and Kristjan are great hosts. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade breads and a moment to learn more about Iceland’s stories. We highly recommend it. And will come back.

what can I say, our stay with Heba was simply amazing. We loved her stories and the room was also very special. Heba is a great host, we had freshly baked bread in the morning accompanied with travel advice, recommendations and a lopl at their family histories and ancestors. We can't wait to stay with Heba again on our next Icelandic adventure !!

Beautiful location and a great Islandic breakfast (with excellent homemade bread). Our lovely hosts made us feel at home immediately and answered all our questions, provided valuable recommendations and gave very interesting explanations on Islandic everyday life.
