The place exceeded our expectations simply because of its host Rui! Maybe the room is a bit too small but Rui is a gem! He suggested some very best sport to visit on Sao Jorge, helped to solve return time issue with car rental company, suggested few really nice restaurants and even booked few taxi rides for us. We simply forgot about all the small inconveniences in the house, becase Rui made us spend a great time in Sao Jorge and if you read this, Rui, thank you very much!

located a bit outside the center of Velas, but still close to everything on foot; it consists of several buildings nicely arranged among greenery; room of sufficient size, clean, with a nice view; stable internet access with good speed; breakfast basic but sufficient; comfortable bed

The suite has 2 decent sized bedrooms with king beds (2 twins together), which were very comfortable. One bedroom had a 3 piece ensuite bathroom and the other 3 piece bathroom was just down the hall from the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen had great appliances, including a washer and clothing steamer. We really enjoyed the patio area with inside views of the courtyard. It was a great location where we could easily walk to the gardens, harbour and shopping area.

excellent location facing the sea and looking directly across to the volcano on pico. Hosts very welcoming. They offer you the use of the kitchen and to sit anywhere in the house. They were most helpful and giving us advice on places to visit. Breakfast is not provided, but you can use the kitchen to prepare your own. Or dinner. Large bedroom. Everything very clean. Hosts speak English very well. located about 10 minutes outside of Velas and three minutes from a nearby restaurant.

Wonderful little gem of a hotel on Sao Jorge. This remodeled historic property maintains the quaint feel of life in the centuries past. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating if there is anything you need or any questions you may have. The breakfast is an amazing traditional breakfast and we never left hungry. This hotel hasn't been around long, but they are doing such a great job I think they will be around a long time. Beautiful property too with a pool, garden, and little farm where they raise chickens for the eggs you eat at breakfast. This is definitely where we will stay again next time we come to Sao Jorge!
