We were lucky to stay in this place as there are only 3 bedrooms, but for us the size was perfect as we prefer quiet environment. It’s a bit out of the busy area which means you’d have to walk (like only 10min) but that was perfect for us!

The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

She also made us excellent tea every morning. Their dog Kaku is another sweet and gentle soul to spend time with. The village itself nice. Ask for the map and explore the nearby towns. Also Omachi and Hotaka are close by. Lots of apple orchards in the area.

We had lovely chats with him! Also he helped us a lot with planning our hikes and our transport. The breakfast and dinner provided were great, very healthy and fresh. The dorm room was super comfortable and cozy. The hostel is surrounded by trees and waking up there is one of the best experiences we had in Japan! Would 100% come back when visiting Japan again!
