It's hard to list everything I liked about this place! Firstly, the location is truly out of this world, on top of the water in a beautiful and quaint fishing village with the mangroves. The sunrise is particularly beautiful if you can be bothered to get up early. Secondly, the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful! Especially the owner, he made use feel right at home and was happy to help with anything we needed, such as renting a motorbike and kayak. Also, the food was all very delicious and affordable with a few other places in the village too. Mainly, what my friend and I loved the most was the peace! It's such a small and quiet homestay so we felt relaxed and chill, but we also made some really cool friends here too.

It is a complete detox, without trying to be. You are on a nearly empty island with no roads or establishments, the water is warm like a bath. The huts and tents are nestled into the jungle, a literal stone’s throw from a white, sandy beach. It is quiet. People at this camp/resort tend to snorkel, hike, and read in hammocks all day and not much else. The food is homemade and healthy. The staff are warm and accommodating. I originally booked for five nights, not knowing if I could handle much more in such a secluded area without getting bored. Within 5 minutes of arrival, I extended my stay. Don’t think twice- if you have come across this wild place in your search, you are meant to be here.

This beachfront property offers access to darts. Guests can access the guest house via private entrance. Everything at Bongs is wonderful! I planed to stay for four nights and extended to seven. It is a great location with an amazing view of the bay, the rooms are in good condition and have shelving/storage/locked cabinet, and the food at the restaurant is delicious. I ate at least one meal there every day and loved everything, especially the homemade bread. The staff is very friendly and helpful with answering questions.

We had a fan room and it was quite comfortable. Nice and cool and night and the bathrooms were modern.

You get there after a short but strenuous hike (depends on your luggage). Next time we will get probably  the offered pick up service to make it a bit more easy. Nice staff, clean rooms, great food and good wifi. Will definetly come back again!

Had an amazing time here, stunning view and wonderful recommendations on where to explore from Tom’s good artistic taste. We will definitely stay here again next time we come. For longer, these 5 nights went super fast. :))

A recently renovated guest house situated in Koh Rong Island, Friend of Nature Bungalow features a garden. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a water park. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Really enjoyed our time here. Such a relaxing and beautiful place where you can really immerse yourself into a more local and nature experience. Johney also an amazing host, super helpful, offers scooters for rent, free snorkelling gear and kayaks. The hut itself was really nice, huge bed and it would cool down enough in the night with the fan to make comfortable sleeping experience. Only comment I would make is expect no luxury for toilet and shower facilities, its all part of the experience, and we found it very enjoyable but might not be everyones cup of tea.

The place is a bit difficult to find, once found, it's easy to just stay there. The host Johnny is also very helpful with arranging scooters or anything else.

But the downside is that you have to say goodbye to them ♥️
