The room was quite large and very clean. The kitchenette was well supplied and had a counter with stools so you could enjoy a spectacular view of hills, ocean, and fields while you ate. The bathroom was modern, clean, and had an impressive supply of amenities. There are 2 dogs on the property who are so sweet, affectionate and well-behaved. The property is beautiful, as are the incredible views.

Featuring garden views, Mangawhai Modern features accommodation with a shared lounge and a patio, a 5-minute walk to Mangawhai Village and its shops, cafes and swimming spot. Great location, great value for money. Lovely host. Rooms were nicely decorated. Close to shops and restaurants.

Even though we only had a single overnight stay at Chalet Cullen, we must say it’s on our top ten experiences of what we have had during our 6 weeks vacation in New Zealand. The unit was fine and cozy, and with a great view to the beach. The local radio station (FM 90.4) plays pop/rock from the good old days. What’s not to like. We can only give our best recommendations.

Just 450 metres from Kororareka Bay, Bellrock Lodge offers studios with a private balcony and lovely bay and town views. The owners Catherine and Stewart were the perfect hosts! They had a great balance between privacy and sharing important information about where to go.
