Cylia and her colleague provided some of the best and friendliest service I have ever had and dinner was also great. From the terrace you will have a beautiful view in the morning, the drive to the gorilla trekking site takes about 10 minutes. The basic room I stayed in was clean, had 24h electricity, Wi-Fi (even if you don't need it - there is very good mobile internet in the area) and everything else you may need (including intact mosquito nets). I felt very comfortable here.

At the homestay, every unit includes bed linen and towels. The Makanga Hill Suites offer probably the nicest lodging in Kabale. The suites are based in a new and well-appointed house and are served by capable and friendly staff. Makanga Hill sits up above the hustle of downtown Kabale, with very nice grounds and rewarding views. One can pleasantly walk down across the golf course and into the City center in about 30 minutes; or you can hire the house (Benz!) SUV to drive you; and of course there is a lovely (and secure) carport if you are driving your own vehicle.
