We had never stayed at a hostel before, so were a little unsure what to expect. The staff was very nice. The room was small, but adequate. Bathroom was clean and efficient. The bed looked small and simple, but ended up being very comfortable. There were not very many others around, so it was a quiet evening.

I went to Rocky Harbour to visit Gros Morne National Park, booked a tour Western Brook Pond, which was guided by the same guys I could see in the hostel every day. Also, I had to get to Deer Lake somehow and these guys helped me a lot because they have a shuttle for a low price compared to local taxi. Staff super-friendly and helpful. a bit of a youth hostel atmosphere with lots of travelers to exchange infos (which we like).

We had a very comfortable private room with spa bath. The central area around which the rooms go off, had sofas, large tv and open plan communal kitchen area and tables. This was a great space for all sorts of activities or just chatting to people. The hostel is in a great location for exploring Gros Morne NP.

There is a large common room where people, mostly serious hikers, can gather and exchange experiences. The atmosphere was very relaxed and communal as a Youth Hostel should be. It was a good stepping stone for getting to the Deer Lake airport in the morning.
