Everything was clean, staff was super nice, really cute place with drawings and texts from previous guests on the wall. They spontaneously organized a driver to get us from the train station.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

We liked the hostel a lot. It has a very nice atmosphere. The owner and the staff are very, very friendly and helped us a lot. We met a lot of other travellers there and felt like in a "real" hostel. We would definitly come back, if we are in Zhangye again one day. Thanks for everything:).

Great English-speaking staff. Great location - close to big Buddha statue. And great that they organise a van to take guests to Danxia coloured hills, Mati Si grottos and elsewhere. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was in a small restaurant. There a lot of them around the hotel, very cheap and tasty. In the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They wrote me in Chinese a few phrases which I used later, to get the colored mountains and airport. The double room (for 121 yuans per night) was very clean.

It is so very good hostel. Only 15 minutes from train station and surrounded by local market and stree foods. The owners are so kind, helpful and friendly which makes me feel at home. Should take tour from hostel. It is cheap and convienient. Also can have owner arrange cab to train station. It is more cheap than taking Didi or taxi. Love everything!

After 7 years in China, I can say this is one of my favourite hostels in the country. It feels as a family stay at times because owners are so nice. Rooms are comfy, WiFi is reliable, situation is good and their excursions are good value.

The location was perfect and the staff very helpful and nice: they arranged the tour for us before arriving and helped out with train tickets:everything was super easy! Next time we will choose this hostel again, it was a pity we stayed just one night!

Staff were so nice and helpful, and took us to and from the train station. Hostel located in walking distance of good food, Big Buddha Temple. Room was big, comfortable and clean. Really happy to stay here, one of the nicest hostels I’ve been to in China.
