Set in Santa Maria, Surf House Hostel has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. The property is located 800 metres from Nazarene Church, less than 1 km from Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows and a 17-minute walk from Funana Casa da Cultura. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests.

This is an amazing hostel. The owner Andrea and his team takes care of everything and make you feel like at home. Nice community and very very clean (I don't know how the team manages to clean all the team while still being around to have a chat or help with recommendations for restaurants etc.). Would go back for sure!

Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

New one bedroom apartment with kitchenette, living area and wrap around balcony. Minimally furnished but with everything I needed. Tiled flooring. A safe for valuables. Great location to access beaches and the town. I felt very safe walking back in the evening. Great sunbathing deck with sea views and a small pool to cool off.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The staff is the kindest, the rooms are clean and everyone is so welcoming. Can highly recommend this hostel if you want a place to socialise with likeminded water sports lovers.

I enjoyed every single moment there! The great location and comfort of the suite, the early morning peace and quiet of the Cafe where a delicious breakfast was served by the lovely staff members (loved the Cachupa!) and the great energy of those working there in the evening. The reception went above and beyond, a special thanks goes to Dory for looking so well after me and making me feel welcome. The place is also very safe as there is a security team looking after guests. So no stress, just go and enjoy!

A big apartment a few minutes from the beach, in a quiet and nice part of the town but not far from the centre; in other words, a pretty great location. The apartment has its own private patio, a living room / kitchen, a large main bedroom with a double bed and a tiny single bedroom (no window there). There is a good wifi. The owners have a great little shop next door where you can buy all the basics for the same price (or even cheaper) than in other shops. Note that if you want to cook, you need to pay extra (2 euros a day) for the gas.

Central location “on the beach” with pool and great sunset view, I have stay at this complex before, it is a great location for both the town and beach. And feels very safe with extensive security staff and surveillance My particular apartment had a large patio area that was shaded due to its location, but this may suit you to get out of the sun and it’s only a few steps to the pool area The apartment was clean and tidy with good facilities and great communication via the host Bobby
