The response time from the host (via text only) was acceptable. There is a popular bakery (Bäckerei Raffelhüschen) 3 blocks away, but do take note it's only for takeaway. It was probably one of the cheapest options on the island for a family of 5.

There are better and more luxurious hotels on the island but this one tick all the boxes also when you are traveling with a slightly smaller budget. It's a great compromise, on the seafront bang in the center of Westerland.
