Situated in Vilcabamba, Rumi Wilco Ecolodge & Nature Reserve-Cabañas & Camping has a garden, terrace, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi. The accommodation features room service, a 24-hour front desk and organising tours for guests.

Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Vilcabamba, like hiking.

We loved Rumi Wilco. The whole project is done with a lot of attention and care. You can sense the love that Alicia and Orlando have for their land and the project in the details. There is small letter signs with the names of the plants of the area, all the paths are well cleared from herbs and plants, there is cute designated bathing spots that connect the path with the river that goes along the whole terrain. In the room itself you will find a simple but very careful environment made of wood entirely. The wood is from local forests, it is all very precise. In the kitchen each cup has a hook to hang from. It has the precision of a camping gear, or the sensibility of a father that loves to build. Everything was very clean, there is hot water for the shower, there is hooks to scroll, there is a map to visit the reserve, there is recommendations on how to heal somethings with local herbs. There is also a small selection of things that are made by them. Locally grown, dried and grinded coffee. Some jams with fruits from their land. Around the cabins there is grass to allow for camping. This also allows for star gazing. The area has lots of butterflies. Is a perfect place to stay for a long time, to enjoy the cabin and the reserve. To mix both resting and active visits.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

I like everything in this hostel, my stay was very pleasant. The yoga room was perfect for me to do my daily workouts and the kitchen was complete, so I could cook my meals without issues. The hosts are very kind people. The place is very calm and my nights were very calm, so I had a good sleep there.

#5 is our favorite room. Very close to downtown Vilca with all her great restaurants and shops. Great value for the price. Good community kitchen. We felt very safe here. Don't forget to bring cash, lots of 10's 5's and 1's.

It's a beautiful property in a great location, very quiet but just a couple of minutes' walk to the centre. The bed was very comfortable and a big plus that there are only 3 beds in the dorm. There is a lovely garden to chill in and the kitchen has all you need, included drinking water. The hosts are lovely.

A beautiful old adobe Ecuadorian house, lovingly restored and thoughtfully appointed, we felt more like we were staying in a boutique hotel than a budget hostel. Great location, great views from our room, kind and considerate host, highly recommended
