Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location. You leave the hotel and the desert is a 2-minute walk away. The owner is very responsive. On the last day we left early in the morning and he made breakfast for us at 6:30 so that we had time to eat before leaving.

This is my 2nd trip to Morocco 🇲🇦 as well as contracting with Moha who has been our guide both times. We traveled through the Beautiful Atlas Mountains. Our final destination was Sahara Dunes where we camped. We were received with much hospitality, kindness and respect. Amazing food, sunsets, camel rides, along with other activities. I want to thank Moha for making our trip safe, comfortable and complete! We will be back soon!

What an amazing hostel! We had a whole apartment (with a kitchen, bathroom, and living room) to ourselves. It is located just in front of the dunes, and you have the nicest view from the rooftop. There are many cheap restaurants around the corner, but we also had a great breakfast in the hostel. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and we could store our luggage in the hostel while we were staying in the desert.

Unique experience in the desert! We could not imagine something better! The camp is in a great location. Clean, comfortable, very big, cosy. The people so nice, welcoming and smiley! The food amazing in very big portions so we were never left hungry! They were always there for us to help us or offer us a cup of tea or invite us to enjoy the night next to the fire place by singing and dancing! Thank you again for everything!

Desert Backpackers Hostel is not like the hostels you stayed in before for starters Hamid build the hostel himself, the walls are 30cm deep, I loved the feeling of living in that hostel, I could see the camels and the sand dunes from the window, it was very hard to leave. Hamid is from the area so is good for information about places to go and can be helpful in organizing things as he has many connections. I loved the breakfast every morning, am a coffee drinker but was converted to a tea drinker as the tea was great!

Great staff, great location. The value is amazing, you will probably not find a greater and cleaner place for this price point. the room was big and clean and the AC was a lifesaver. We had stayed in another hostel the day before without one and for those not accustomed to a room being 40+ degrees.. well it isn’t pleasant. the pool was clean and once we checked out we were still invited to stay as long as we wanted. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We can definitely recommend staying at Hostel les Roches. The staff was nice and prepared us tea when we arrived. The room including the bathroom were very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the pool very much. The hostel also offers safe camel tours/round trips in the desert, so you can easily arrive and book your tour directly at the hostel (but we had already booked a private tour before we arrived).
