I loved my stay at Wanaka. The Hostel is super nice. The kitchen is big and it's actually the better area to chill out then the chill out room haha. It has a TV room as well and just over all great. The location is excelent right next to a really good coffee shop and the lake is close by. The beds are really comfortable. And also you get a towel for the shower (really appreciated that).

Beds were comfy and had curtains, light, power. It's a small hostel and I really appreciated this. Nice common rooms and kitchen, computer room and lounge, outdoors area. And great location in town. Staff was friendly and excellent. Would have liked to stay longer and would definitely come back.

Lots of space in my dormitory. The kitchen and living space facilities were huge, airy, well equipped. Nice patio area. Great value for money; I stayed in the Wanaka YHA the night before for similar price and the Brownston was vastly superior.

Very clean which makes up for the general run-down state of the lodge/hostel building (as opposed to the lovely main building). Showers surprisingly good with hot water. Cheapest private room of Wanaka that day so yes you get what you pay for.
