Location good for us as a stop on a long journey from Selfoss to Vatnajökull; itself, it is in the middle of nowhere, but that perhaps helped us to enjoy even more the polar lights we saw in the evening. (And as a bonus, our room was next to a side entrance to the building.)

Room close by which was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable and showers were great. Showed the care and attention to detail that made it a great stay

Guest rooms at Skyrhusid HI Hostel have an in-room wash basin. All have access to shared bathroom facilities. Bed linen and towels are included. The staff is absolutely amazing there and always ready to help! They even helped me out taking out my stucked car of the snow with a tractor! And gave me a lot of tips on how driving in the snow properly. This was the highlight of our stay: the people who work there. Also, the pizza we had at the dinner was so good - I mean, really good stuff. About the room, everything was tidy and clean, the shower is great with the right amount of water pressure and temperature, it has a heater to keep everything warm and the beds are nice.

Guests can choose between rooms with private or shared bathrooms. The staff was amazing and the location is beautiful our room overlooked the lake.

Overlooking Höfn harbour and with views towards the Vatnajökull Glacier, this hostel features a guest kitchen and laundry facilities. The staff can help arrange glacier tours and well as boat and snowmobile trips. Of only all hostel were like this one!
