Val, the meet and greet lady was very helpful Great location, central and safe Well equipped kitchen Parking onsite Comfortable bed and sofa bed in living room Lovely patisserie downstairs
I was welcomed very warmly. The bunk beds in the dormitory allowed for a little privacy with their curtains, which I appreciated. Also the "lockers" underneath the beds had enough room for both my large suitcase and my hiking backpack. Additionally, I enjoyed the community meal which was offered on the evening of my arrival very much. The food was good and the company even better.
I was apprehensive about the shared bathrooms, but there were plenty of them, they were very well designed, clean and had all the facilities you need. Great location, not too far to walk to the Space needle. The double bunk bed was fun for a family of four. Excellent value. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Lots of great options in a great room.
The location is near bloody perfect. Light rail to the cbd or airport is one minute away, bus transport to districts further afield is five minutes walk away. The cbd is about a twenty minute walk away. All guests here are obviously on a limited budget, it's not like a backpackers just for young world travellers wanting to party. There are family groups with young children, older couples doing it cheap, the usual groups of vibrant girls or guys looking to save their money for a good time.
Great location - close to public transit, multiple restaurants, and a grocery store. The area around the hostel felt a little sketchy at times but nothing we were too worried about, and the hostel itself felt very safe. The staff were friendly and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The kitchen and living areas were large and seemed nice, although we didn't spend much time there. The price was also much better than anything else we could find in Seattle, although still expensive compared to what we are used to.
Great location for a touristic visit to Seattle. Everything our young family wanted to do was within walking distance. There are a variety of food options close by for a variety of tastes and budgets. Our children enjoyed breakfast and the man in charge of breakfast was very kind and patient. It was the last leg of our journey, so the laundry facilities were most appreciated. We would love to return some day!
Legit European-style boarding house. Private bathroom was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Check in was easy and the front of house desk manager was helpful, friendly, and patient. Great location in the heart of a quaint Camas neighborhood and shopping district. Close to great natural areas. I appreciate the variety of room choices for varying budgets.
Best hostel I've stayed in ! So well thought out with large storage space under bed. I could keep my suitcase open and just push it into the locker which was such a relief. I also liked that bathrooms were separate instead of a large communal space with shower and toilet cubicles. Staff were lovely, and there are lots of optional activities and opportunities to socialise with other travellers. Would definitely stay here again!!
The location cannot be beat. It’s centran and close to everything really. You could explore most of the tourist sightseeings just walking or taking a quick bus ride. Other that the location, it’s just an average hostel with average bunk beds and facilities. Overpriced in my opinion for NYE but I guess the rest of the year is much cheaper. I would advise to only stay here if you’re not planning on spending a lot of time in the hostel facilities
Green Tortoise has the charm of independent, friendly backpacker-hostels that I enjoyed all over Europe. There aren't a lot of budget options in major US cities, especially for solo travellers, so I was really glad to have found this place. I rate it highly on location and value for money and I would definitely stay here again.
