Regarding the first bonus question if the price matched expectations I actaally thought I was getting a very good deal as I bought it. If anything it turned out even better. As for the rest: Location is fantastic with the lush green of the valley floor and the sides in contrast to the white and black mountain tops was superb. A very nive 9-hole, very flat golfcourse in the valley, but with lots og OB and water it was still a challenge. Due to unlucky rain my main day there I did not get to try any of the numerous walks in the area. My two days was at least few days too short a stay. The hotel is in the usual Alpine fashion, which means very comfortable. Service was very good all around, and the dinner very capable made indeed. Also took care of my dietary obstacles in stride,

The centre of Ehrwald can be reached in 500 metres. Garmisch is 20 km away, and Füssen is 35 km away. Free on-site parking is provided. Guests can make use of free ski bus service to Ehrwalder Alm, Sonnenhanglift, Lermoos and Marienbergbahn Ski Lifts.
