Der Ausserwalderhof ist aus einem der Urhöfe des Villgratentals entstanden – dem damaligen Waldhof. Er zählt somit zum ältesten Siedlungsgebiet am sonnseitig gelegenen Lahnberg im Westen des Tales. Das Dorfzentrum ist ca. 3 km entfernt, jedoch sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Der Hof ist seit 1725 Erbhof. Die Art und Weise, wie sich das Gebäude heute präsentiert ist auf viele Umbauarbeiten und Modernisierungen seit den 1960er Jahren zurückzuführen. Dabei wurde auch stets darauf geachtet, innovativ und umweltbewusst zu arbeiten. So wird die Stromversorgung beispielsweise durch eine Solaranlage unterstützt. Heute steht auf dem Ausserwalderhof neben der Haltung von Hühnern und Katzen die Rinderzucht im Vordergrund. Er wird seit Ende 2016 von Alexander Schett und seiner Familie bewohnt und betrieben. Der Panoramablick auf die Villgrater Berge und die vielen Sonnenstunden machen den Ausserwalderhof zu einem außergewöhnlichen Ort inmitten des unberührten Villgratentales.
Genießen Sie Natur Pur beim Spazierengehen, Wandern, Mountainbiken, Schitouren gehen, Schifahren, Langlaufen oder Rodeln oder lassen Sie einfach nur die Seele baumerln. In unserer ruhigen Umgebung können Sie sich so richtig vom Alltagsstress erholen und Kraft und Erholung tanken.
