Room on the very top under the roof in the side house. Very nicely decorated, lovely modern bathroom. Room had a balcony and is in a very quiet location. Very good breakfast and great dinner in the restaurant. They offer a sauna but we did not use it so we can not comment on that aspect. We have friends that live nearby and we didn't want to stay in Ellmau itself, so do note that you are NOT in the center of Ellmau with this property. But for us the location was excellent to walk to our friends house.

In addition to lovingly furnished comfort rooms, Landhotel Föhrenhof Ellmau features a spa oasis with sauna, steam sauna, infrared cabin and relaxation room. Lying on the hay bed, you can inhale the unique aroma of local herbs and grasses, which have been used as remedies for centuries. The Föhrenhof’s restaurant has already won several awards and serves traditional Austrian dishes and Tyrolean specialities made of regional products directly from the farm. The most beautiful hiking and bicycle trails of the Kitzbühel Alps start right outside the door. The 27-hole golf course Wilder Kaiser is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. It is one of the most beautiful courses in the Alps and offers views of the impressive panorama of the Kitzbühel Alps.
Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 8.9 for a two-person trip.
