Company information

Your hostess, Katja, has build up more than 15 years of experience in hospitality. Born in Borna, near Leipzig, she has studied for maître d'hôtel. She has worked for many renomated hotels, inside and outside Germany, like hotel Römerbad (Black Forest), the MS Deutschland (cruise liner), hotel Post (Lech am Arlberg), the Old Bell hotel (Malmesbury), hotel Berghof (Hintertux), Lindner hotel (Antwerp) and hotel Sonnhof (Sankt Johann im Pongau). She loves fotography, walking and travelling, and aims to make your stay as pleasant as possible! Your host, DiederikYour host, Diederik, is working as a software consultant in Sankt Johann im Pongau. Grown up in Aartselaar, near Antwerp, he graduated as a master in computer sciences at the university of Antwerp. He was formerly working as a teacher at the Lessius university college and as a passionate indoor cycling instructor at Fitality and Go-Fit fitness clubs in Belgium. Nowadays he is a pasionate ski instructor at the Skischule Filzmoos in his spare time. He loves mountainbiking and hiking in summer, and skiing in winter.

Experience the glorious mountains throughout all four seasons, come down to earth, revive yourself... We offer you the typical Austrian Gemütlichkeit with a gentle Belgian and German touch. Bergliebe is located in the beautiful and peaceful village Filzmoos (Neuberg), 4 km from the center, approximately 1.000 meters above sea level. Thanks to its altitude and location at the Dachstein, Filzmoos is one of the most snow sure winter sports regions in the province of Salzburg.

Skiing fun starts as soon as you step out of our guesthouse, with the Geierberg skilift only 150 meters away. The ski- and walking bus stop is only 300 meters away and multiple hiking and biking trails start in the immediate vicinity of our guesthouse.Filzmoos is not only your perfect winter destination. Thanks to its proximity to the Bischofsmütze (2.458 m) and the Dachstein (2.995 m) it is a favorite spring, summer and autumn destination for many mountain enthusiasts across the world.The impressive mountain scenery invites you for many outdoor activities. An impressive hiking area with over 200 kilometers of marked hiking trails is laying in front of you. For the more adventurous guests Filzmoos is offering an attractive climbing park with 300 different climbing routes and 4 via ferrata. Filzmoos is also offering many biking possibilities for e-bikers, mountain bikers and road bikers.
