Set against the scenic background of the Kalkalpen National Park, Villa Sonnwend is an eco-friendly 3-star superior property in a protected Art Nouveau villa offering a gourmet restaurant serving regional cuisine and vegetarian dishes. Rooms at the non-smoking Villa Sonnwend National Park Lodge feature solid wood furniture, allergy-free mattresses, a flat-screen TV, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The small spa area includes a sauna, infrared cabin, wellness shower, and relaxation room. The large garden and the sun terrace offer deck chairs to enjoy the panoramic mountain views. 2 seminar rooms are available. Mountain bikes are provided free of charge in summer, and electric bicycles can be rented on site at a discount. Guided tours of the national park can be booked on site. In winter, snowshoes are available for free, and the cross-country ski run network can be accessed right outside the hotel. The Wurzeralm Ski Area is 15 km away, and the Hinterstoder Ski Area is 20 km away. From mid-May to mid-October, the Pyhrn-Priel Aktiv Card is included in the rate. This card offers many free benefits and discounts, including free use of local cable cars and buses, and free participation in guided tours of the national park.
