Beautiful period home, nicely decorated and super comfortable beds. Fresh milk, tea & coffee are supplied along with glasses, crockery so you can bring your own cereal, order takeaway or utilise the pretty garden for antipasto and a glass of wine like we did. Plenty of street parking. The host is very quick to respond to any queries and access/ check in is simple and convenient.

This beautiful Edwardian guesthouse has been lovingly restored and offers many charming features: high ceilings with ornate ceiling roses, sparkling crystal chandeliers, decorative fireplaces with mantels, stained glass windows and original polished floor boards. There are two delightful rooms available: 'The Library’ and 'The Sunroom’. I recently decided to close the other rooms because of social distancing and to make the shared bathroom facilities more amenable. Featuring: • Authentic antique furniture • Reverse cycle air conditioning • King sized bed (183cm x 203cm) with premium linen and electric blankets • Flat screen TV • Wi-Fi • Bar fridge • Kettle • Coffee & tea making provisions There are two passage ways/galleries boasting some striking art works. The kitchenette is located in the smaller passageway, which has a microwave oven and toaster. The large modern central bathroom is located in the main passageway shared between the two rooms. I provide a bathroom roster to alleviate any issues. There is a north facing...sunny veranda and courtyard available, where smoking is allowed.
I reside out the back of the guesthouse. It is a completely separate and private zone. Entry is contactless, key safes at the front door are provided, for easy and private access. All relevant information will be emailed to you a couple of days prior to your stay and detailed information (explaining the lay of the land) will be provided in your bedroom.
Castlemaine Township and Railway Station are a four minute drive or a 20 minute walk. There is on-street parking, directly out front of the property, there is heaps of space and it is only a short distance to the house. However, if this is a problem for you, please let us know and we will work something out.
