When it comes to all the things that make Melbourne Melbourne (coffee culture, old-school pubs, great food and cool shops), you can't beat Collingwood. Our two-bedroom apartment is three blocks from Smith St, the neighbourhood's main strip and home to some of the city's coolest eateries. Public transport to the CBD is also super convenient: a 15-minute tram ride. The place itself is great, with a bathroom for each bedroom, modern kitchen, a comfy lounge and even a balcony to have a drink on.

Melbourne sometimes gets stereotyped as the hipster capital of Australia. That might not be true everywhere, but it sure is in Collingwood. This inner northern neighbourhood has become the centre of a vibrant arts, dining and nightlife scene over the last decade.
