I absolutely recommend this hostel! So far one of the best I’ve been in Australia. First of all because they have a limited but free parking available on site. Also they have a night manager for late check-in, which was my case. I appreciate that the rooms were air conditioned as in other hostels I’ve been, they only had fans that usually didn’t work properly. Also I felt really safe using Goki app to open my room’s door! Despite I missed some vegetable milk I loved that they had tea and juice for free. The pancakes included in the free breakfast were delicious! (and freshly cooked). Also on Monday’s they have free sausage barbecue (with veggie options) which I really enjoyed! It’s a great hostel where you can both relax by the pool or TV room or meet people in the common areas while playing some board games. I highly recommend it!

Truly had the best time as Mad Monkey village! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the super friendly receptionist who was really helpful with check-in and was happy to give me some info on what was best to do in cairns when I enquired. They also thankfully had a secure luggage room to leave my bags until the 2pm check in. One of my favourite features of this hostel included the delicious, fresh pancakes and free breakfast selection that ran from 7:30-10 each morning, it was amazing waking up to the smell of pancakes! The clean, communal areas were spacious with plenty of seating and great for socialising, plus the rooms were super comfortable and equipped with their own sinks and it was nice seeing the housekeeping staff coming in to clean each morning.

I had an incredible stay at this hostel ! The location is simply perfect, close to everything you might need. The kitchen is a real asset, very well equipped with even an oven ! The pool with its hammock creates a very relaxing tropical atmosphere. Plus, the rooms are nice and comfortable, adding to the overall experience. But what really makes this place special is the convivial atmosphere between guests and the staff: always there to help with a smile, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this youth hostel to anyone looking for a memorable stay !

My stay was short but sweet! Great common areas; large pool and outdoor area, TV room with Netflix and kitchen with cooking facilities. Free breakfast and Pancakes was a bonus :) friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend!

Has everything you need. Beds are comfortable, good washing machines and dryers, plenty of kitchen utensils, and friendly staff. It is quiet enough for you to relax and still has good social environments in the common areas. Really enjoy this hostel and will be here for the next few months.

Really nice and friendly atmosphere. It’s a great hostel for socializing and having a few drinks but also quiet after midnight which is perfect. There’s also a great pool area and TV room to relax! The staff are also really nice and helpful

We booked a private room and it was so nice to have a private bathroom and tv after so many nights in shared dorms. The bathroom was so clean and the bed was big. The kitchen had everything you needed although it was crowded most of the day. The breakfast was nice even though it was simple
