Property information

A sunny and airy executive short term stay, close to Fremantle with parking, wifi, laundry and chef's kitchen. Fully renovated three bedrooms traditional cottage located on Fremantle's beautiful Solomon Street. Sunny courtyards, surrounded by tall trees and gardens with barbeque, dining table and French deck chairs. Lots of self- closing lockable gates for kiddies and pooches. The cottage is light and breezy, with excellent insulation and green energy efficient values, built on the property during a 6-month extension project completed in November 2012. This includes a greywater system from the laundry, solar power, double glazed windows and solar passive heat banking. There are louvre windows to encourage ventilation from the South West breezes in Fremantle, and floor heating in living area and bathrooms will keep things toasty in winter. There are air conditioners installed also. The cottage has three bedrooms, with two double beds and 1 single bed, as well as a porta cot. There are two bathrooms. The large living, dining, and kitchen has three sets of wide French doors onto the private courtyard, perfect for opening up and enjoying the fresh breeze on your break.

Neighbourhood information

Fremantle is a historical mix of harbours, museums, and markets. Sample the food, art, breweries, music, shopping all in a 5km circle with the songs of buskers to keep you moving. Relax with a coffee on 'Cappuccino Strip', enjoying fish and chips over Fishing Boat Harbour and inhale the fresh air with a stroll along the boardwalk to Bathers Beach. Stretch your legs to greet the “Fremantle Doctor’s cool breeze and watch a sunset from the beaches or short hike up to Monument Hill to work up and appetite and thirst for just about any style of food and handcrafted beers in one of many eateries & breweries. Jump on the free CAT bus for a tour around Freo for local food and beers on South Terrace, South Beach for a picnic under the trees. Fremantle Port is the gateway to the Swan River from South mole toward Perth City; hire a bike, take a stroll, or a river cruise and explore. Why not take a ferry from Freo for a day trip to Rottnest Island and meet the famous Quokka's.
