Private and on a large property with amazing plants. Amazing view from the pool. Very quiet. Made small meals in the kitchen/dining area down stairs. Lots of birds. 4km from the sea with great coffee shops. Woolworths 4km drive.

THE FIGS BYRON is an idyllic private garden and rural oasis in the heart of the beautiful Byron Shire featuring panoramic views from the Border Ranges National Park, to the iconic Mount Warning and Mount Chincogan, all the way to the Pacific Ocean at Brunswick Heads. Our newly built award-nominated accommodation suites are nestled within 10 acres of expansive and stunning subtropical gardens, orchards and paddocks, highlighted by 4 magnificent 250–300 year old fig trees and a myriad of rare and exotic palms and flowering trees and shrubs, the perfect weekend escape or wedding venue. We have more than 500 metres of pathways through the gardens, much of it wheelchair accessible, as well as more than 60 different varieties of organic fruits and nut trees in the surrounding gardens and orchards, producing wonderful succulent fruit for most of the year. Our resident flock of Wiltshire Horned Sheep provide a finishing touch to this beautiful and unique rural setting. THE FIGS BYRON is ideally located in the centre of the tourist mecca of Byron Shire, just off the M1 Motorway - only 5 minutes to Brunswick Heads and its beautiful river and beaches, only 15 minutes to the centre and buzz of
Peter (Australian) and Alison (Canadian) are very experienced world travellers and very enthusiastic hosts. We have lived and travelled in many different countries, both in the developed world and the less developed world, and have worked extensively in the areas of International aid, health management and the delivery of health care. We have seen a lot and done a lot, including managing and providing health care in active war zones. So it was with considerable pleasure that we found the perfect peaceful home in Byron Shire, situated on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia. In creating and developing THE FIGS BYRON we have found an idyllic setting which enabled us to mix our love of creating beautiful gardens with our love of meeting people, combined with our desire to pursue a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle on our small farm. We invite you to come and share our delightful setting and our vision.
The Byron Shire is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. "From world-renowned beaches to lush hinterland surrounds, Byron offers something for just about everyone with an eclectic and laid-back mix of alternative, surfie and trendy culture. (Byron and Beyond)" Byron continues to live up to its traditional heritage as a sacred meeting place with people from all over the world of all ages flocking to experience the unique mix of sun, sand, surf, alternate lifestyles, rainforests, migrating whales, frolicking dolphins, and other native flora, fauna and bird life.
