Winganah Cottage is self-contained cottage in the Tasmanian countryside away from the rat race yet still close enough to experience all the attraction of the Tasman & Forestier peninsulas. We are halfway between Dunalley 4km and Murdunna 3km. The Dunalley Beaches are 1km away and Marion Bay Beach 12 km . In the opposite direction is Eaglehawk Neck and Pirates Bay lookout 12 km Further on is Three Capes Walk. Many good Restuarant's, Winery's, Parks, Farms, Attractions, Hikes and Lookouts are all within 10 to 20 minutes.You can also hire bikes at Marion Bay E bikes and see the sights on bikes . Spend your nights toasting marshmallows by the gum trees on an outside firepit and awaken to the sounds of sheep, birds ,chickens and kookaburras . You can even feed our 2 sheep and 2 Alpacas, Cindy and Princess. Free Parking is also available, Lots of lovely walks close by at Dunalley Canal .Murdunna coastal walk and a secluded beach only 1 km north down the road from the cottage Carlisle Beach or 10 minutes south the beautiful Eaglehawk Neck Beach .
We are a semi retired couple and we live adjacent to the cottage in another property , we love the country lifestyle and have sheep, alpacas, chickens,kangaroos,possums,wallabies on our property. We love this area for its beauty regardless of what the weather brings , we love to go boating ,fishing,hiking and can provide information on the area if you wish or on the other hand we can leave you to yourself and you wont see us at all . We are happy for you to stay at our cottage and hope you enjoy it as much as we love it and the surrounding nature .
We are halfway between Dunalley 4km and Murdunna Bay 3km . The Dunalley Bay Beach is1km down the road and the popular Marion Bay Beach which was home to the Falls Festival is 12 km away. The Bream Creek Market is held every month on the first Sunday of the Month. In the opposite direction is Eaglehawk Neck and nearby Doo Town with lots of unique attractions 12 minutes away. Turn off the highway to Pirates Bay Lookout for a breathtaking view and also fresh coffee at Cubed espresso . There is a lovely Canal walk at Dunalley where you can walk or ride around the canal and see the opening bridge or watch boats as they glide thru the Canal . You can hire bikes and ride around the local beaches. Many good Restuarant's & Winerys are close by, Bangor Vineyard Shed is just 4 km away, Phoenix Farm Kitchen & Gardens, The Cannery & Dunalley Hotel are all within 5kms ,further south Parks, Farms, Attractions and Hikes and Lookouts are all within 10 / 20 minutes away.
