Cable Beach is the most popular stretch of sand in Nassau, with two-and-half miles of fantastic beach to explore.

If you’re wondering about the name “Cable Beach”, it came from the undersea telegraph cable that came ashore in 1892. In the 1940s and 1950s, when the modern era of tourism was beginning in the Bahamas, Cable Beach was the primary destination for visitors.
Notable homes from the era include the estate of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Bahamian Nobles like (Former Prime Minister of the Bahamas - eg.
