Belize has been our family home for over 40 years, Real Estate and hospitality our business. Back then it was British Honduras, with main exports of sugar cane and bananas. There were no roads, services were limited and property was sold with a machette in hand. The times have changed and Belize has become a popular tourist destination with services and attractions country wide. The size, climate and friendliness is apparent everywhere and people from across the globe have decided to settle here. Our clients have become our extended family. Now we mainly deal with our own rentals and properties and have created a comfortable small resort in Maya Beach we call Bayshore Bijou Suites.

Some cooking classes available by request (perogies, dumplings, crepes, local dishes, etc...) Great location between the beach, lagoon and canals on both sides of the property. We promote an eco friendly and healthy life style. We are collecting rain water, using solar power, salt water pool, artisan made soaps in our rooms, etc...Our guest lounge has a unique cultural display with some original items from Garifuna and Mayan cultures. Maya Beach is a quiet expat community with the walking distance to a few restaurants, bars and bowling alley. The grocery shop is around the corner and the health store nearby. Great location between the beach, lagoon and canals on both sides of the property. Excellent for kayaking on either side. Lagoon is great for watching the wild life, such as manatees, birds, dolphins and even crocs if you are lucky! Small island formed by mangroves is only 30 min away by kayak. It has corals and great for snorkelling. Few cute agouties live in the property and you can see them jumping around early in the morning as well as lots of birds, big orange iguanas, coatimundis and other wild life. For things to do nearby there are places within walking distance to have fun. If you decide to rent a vehicle there is much more that the area has to offer for a great vacation. Tour companies are also there to make sure you explore what the rest of the country is all about.
