Matt and I have been here twenty years + and have developed the property as a lifestyle business called Highland Wilderness Tours. We offer the cabins, public horseback riding, and winter guided snowmobile tours. We also have a nursery and greenhouse and offer produce in the summer to our guests! We are always nearby, but very hands-off so that you can feel like you're at home.
Penny is always a text away if you have an issue, and Matt will be there to help you if needed. Our cabins are located in the midst of our 134 acre wilderness property, and we're close to some really great beaches, fishing, ATV'ing, and Snowmobiling. You'll be seeing Matt for that canoe rental, or chatting with Penny if you want to book yourself a guided horseback tour. We offer 10% off to all guests!
Come stay with us for a nice, quiet holiday on the edge of Algonquin Park! Being at a crossroads means we're close to everything! And all just three hours from Ottawa and Toronto!

PLEASE NOTE - in the shoulder season, bring sleeping bags to ensure you are comfortable. Cabin #1 and Cabin #2 have heat for a small fee. (Cabin 3 & 4 have no heat) Meadowlark #5 is a four season cabin rental and heats with wood.
Each cabin features a fire pit, stainless BBQ, Propane burner (propane is supplied for barbeques), a large pressure-treated deck, a private, clean outdoor toilet, and a private, rustic curtained outdoor shower with patio stones, with a USB chargeable showerhead. Just fill the black, screw-top 5-gallon bucket (provided) at the gate on your way in, and leave it in the sun for a warm shower. We’ve set up your 12x12 Coleman Dining tent with two chairs and a small table inside. We recommend bringing along a PIC insect coil for the summer mosquitoes.
Located at a crossroads between main northern Tourism towns (Whitney, Barry's Bay, and Bancroft) and Algonquin Park. Maynooth and Bancroft are close for last-minute shopping. Three GREAT beaches and one private swimming spot are minutes away. Canoe rental on site.
