We are on a arm of Okanagan Lake that is quite close to the City of Vernon. We have owned a cabin on this site since 1992 but in 2009 decided to take down the old and put up 2 new townhouses. We did want a little luxury so have marble and granite counter tops and a wonderful stone floor with in floor heat. We are just a few feet from the water and with our dock you have great access to the lake for swimming. This is a nice escape on your travels. The guest floor is completely self contained and private - while morning breakfast is served in the great room right on the lake level - MJ
David is in realestate here in Vernon , has been since we arrived in 1992 and I operate a wine touring company - that can give you a tour of the wineries in this region if you want. Both of us are from Canada and we have been very involved in our local community. Mary Jo served on the School Board for 15 years and David served on City Council here for 9 years.
We live right on Okanagan Lake so we have the community amenities like the Yacht Club and Paddlewheel Park close to our location - that provide great summer activities. What is best about our locations is that while we get all the great advantages of the lake we are only 10 minutes from the city core of Vernon so great access to restaurants and movie theaters. 3 of the best Golf Courses in our area, are less than a 15 minute drive from our location and skiing at Silver Star a world class mountain is only a 30 minute drive from home. Truly we have the best of all seasons here in Vernon.
