The bed and linens were wonderful. The bathroom was a great size and was nice and clean. The room and the overall building has a lot of charm. The staff were kind, welcoming, and gracious. The receptiveness and flexible acceptance of my special requests (arriving after office hours, checking out 1.5 hours late, a space for an e-meeting) were so appreciated.

The Rideau Inn is a charming place in an excellent location for enjoying Centretown, a vibrant Ottawa neighbourhood. Perfect for travelling without a car, the inn is near a bus route and a 20-minute walk from the nearest O-Train station. The building is beautiful and well-maintained. If you have a room with a separate bathroom, you will still have that bathroom to yourself! Everything was very clean and well-thought-out. $2 per person for a continental breakfast is extremely reasonable (especially for people like me who need a coffee and something to munch on before making any more decisions!) We loved our stay.

-amazing stay at this hotel! -you can reach everything in the city by foot and it’s located in an area with bars and restaurants. But still a quiet and nice area -charming building with nice rooms -feels like home

The host, Lucy was extremely sweet and warm, and made us feel at home. The place is excellent from a wide selection of must-try restaurants and easily walkable from other sights.

Breakfast was a minimal $2 per person. Croissants muffins hard boiled eggs coffee tea juice. Was nice not to have to go out for breakfast. Sitting rooms on each floor were great. Each had a fridge bottled water. Very homey
