A former monastery dating from the 12th century, this unique historic hotel is located on car-free St. Peter’s Island in the middle of Lake Biel. It is surrounded by a large park and features a restaurant serving regional specialities and its own wine. The rooms at Klosterhotel St. Petersinsel feature elegant wooden furniture and floors, a seating area, and a modern bathroom with bathrobes, toiletries, and a hairdryer. Fresh fish from the lake and products from surrounding farms are offered in the restaurant, which includes a bistro serving drinks and snacks. The hotel is just 50 metres from the lakeshore and the ferry port. Erlach, the nearest village on the lakeshore, is 15 km from Murten and Neuchâtel, and 24 km from Biel.
