The room is spacious and the bed so comfortable. They set up the sofa bed for my kid and it's nearly as comfortable as the real bed. Breakfast is abundant and the room is gorgeous. The hotel is literally next to the lake with beautiful balconies. For FAMILIES, the hotel has a playarea with toys and table/chairs for children.

This place is perfect in every way! Beautiful rooms with attention to detail. Very clean. Super friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast. Good restaurant. Welcoming for children and dogs. A lift. Plenty of parking. Included in the price is the use of the spa area with a stunning view over the black forest. Sauna, steam sauna, Zen type rest room with comfy beds. Free water and tea. Free bathrobe, towels, slippers. The lake with its own legend, the wood walks around it, the little church. The shop where you can buy lovely souvenirs, food etc. A complementary wood oven baked bread for the hotel guest, when you leave.

The rooms are big, airy and well appointed, the bathrooms, spotlessly clean, as you would want them! The breakfast, coffee, cakes, snacks and dinner, each competing with the other for absolute supremacy! Add to this the atmosphere, which is impossible to duplicate! Now add the incomparable surroundings!! The location allows you to take a hop any direction, and from Baden Baden, to Strassbourg to Oppenau and Freudenstadt, you have one beautiful choice after another!!

It offers a captivating blend of tourist attractions centered around the enchanting Mumelsee and the captivating surroundings of the Black Forest itself. Despite being peak season and quite busy, the hotel thoughtfully provides plenty of alternatives to escape the bustling crowds. As a guest; The wellness area was a true highlight, offering a panoramic forest view that accompanied moments of relaxation in the sauna or on comfortable meditation room loungers. They also reserve a few parking spaces especially for the guests, which was very useful for us as it was packed. The restaurant staff made us feel incredibly welcome, even amidst the busyness. The standout was the abundant breakfast buffet featuring an array of local delicacies—a delightful way to start the day. We feel fortunate to have experienced this during our holiday. Berghotel Mummelsee is not to be missed—truly a remarkable destination!
