the location was perfect! From the balcony it seemed a distance to walk to town but this was not the case. 5 minutes and we were in the heart of the town to look at the shops and have a fabulous meal! I have stayed in Mittenwald before and this was my sister and niece first time. WOW factor and spacious room, soooo clean and welcoming. We instantly had dibs on our rooms. Parking was convenient and covered parking. Fabulous view from our balcony and overlooked entire Mittenwald town homes covered with snow.

This place is lovely; the german side of the alps has something unique and Mittenwald has its own special character. The town and its surroundings are all easily explorable on foot and the public transport is so good that you don't need a car. Innsbruck and Munich airports are both easily connected and Garmisch is close by. Karawendel and Zugspitze lifts give panoramic views of the Alps and a good selection of restaurants finish the day off nicely!

Beautiful town with lots of things to do. The scenery is spectacular, so many hiking and cycling options. The town is picturesque and has lots of beautiful little art and jewellery shops. The violin museum is great even if you don’t know much about violins! Lots of nice eating options. The people were really friendly. Next time we’ll stay longer.

Mittenwald is a very cute village in the Bavarian Alps.
Mittenwald is a very cute village in the Bavarian Alps. It has picturesque streets with nice buildings to walk around, a church to visit and the violin museum. It is also very close to a ski area and the Karwendel cable car. It was very quiet when we visited especially in the evenings and shops had limited opening hours (most were closed on Sunday and some were closing for lunchtime too the other days). In terms of food, there are various restaurants (mostly with German cuisine, some Italian and Indian) and some bakeries, although it is worth noting that not all of them stay open in the evenings.

Lovely people, great service everywhere.
Lovely people, great service everywhere. Driving is civilized and sensible, choice of eating out is great. Skiing and hiking are the best bits. Super close to Austria and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, too. You can visit Seefeld in 15 minutes. Best holiday in years.
Mittenwald is a beautiful town and Alpenhotel Reiner is really central to it all . The hotel owner ,reception staff and chef were incredibly helpful and half board was great value .We are vegetarians and they made sure we had a vegetarian option , even making pasta for the children .Breakfast was great too .The pool was large for a hotel pool and open long hours . Bedrooms were really comfortable and roomy , with everything you needed . We had a wonderful stay - thank you Daniel and team for your kindness and hospitality .
Haus Bader is a very clean and spacious aparment. Well equipment, all is working. Sitting on the balcony in the morning is the best start of the day. The bed and sofa are comfortable, right what we used to.
Mittenwald is charming and magic town. We stayed in Haus Bader second time and it was as good as before. So the best part of our vacation, when we were satisfied with everything. Center of the town is very close and we enjoyed walking there every time.
Both owners/ladies were nice and helpful with everything we needed.
The room was very well organized with enough storage space. Everything was clean, modern, and comfortable.
You could walk directly from room to garden/parking place, which was ideal for our dog.
I also recommend having breakfast in the hotel. Nicely prepared, fresh pastry, vegetable, fruit, and a big selection of everything else you might need.
The place was spacious, very clean, and had everything that we needed. It even had dish soap and a sponge, which is a small, but very appreciated thing that some places don't have.
It was located close to Leutaschklamm, the Karwendelbahn, and the Lainbach Waterfall.
The living room/dining room space was big and open and was very comfortable for having extended family with us. Thanks so much for a great stay!
Lovely, helpful and friendly hosts. The choices and quality of food at breakfast was lovely. We had the room with the balcony overlooking mittenwald, absolutely stunning.
The room was to a high standard, with fresh water every day. Really good idea that you can buy drinks from the kitchen that are kept in the fridge, but paying into a honesty box.
Thank you for a lovely stay, we look forward to returning soon.
Very cute alpine hotel located right in the walking area of Mittenwald. The restaurant was full both nights we stayed there and the food there was very good. Free parking is available. It could be a little tight during busy times I think, but it was fine while we were there and we had a compact car.
We would definitely stay here again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful - they lent me an umbrella and phone charging cable. The food in the hotel was good, and you can eat dinner there if you choose, which is handy. The hotel is a short walk to most places in Mittenwald. My room was cleanly and homely. I had a great stay!
Wonderful stay. Gracious host. My wife and I stayed in apartment Staunen, "Amazement.". We were met at train station by host. Apartment well equipped. Full kitchen. Excellent ventilation with windows open. Good view from balcony. Comfortable bed. Easy walk to center of Mittenwald.
The hotel is modern and clean. The owner is kind and helpful.
Breakfast was delecious (free coffee in the afternoon in the hotel's lobby). View from the balcony was amazing, pointing the mountain. Location is perfect, just 500m from the Gorge. Would definitely come back.
Friendly staff. They go out of their way for everyone. if they don’t speak English they will find someone who does or they will try. Clean. Excellent service. Pedestrian area is super close with ample parking and the ability to unload in front of the hotel.
Pension Karner was such a peaceful and wonderful stay. Great location - a short, perfect and picturesque walk from the station/town. Wonderful breakfast, kind service and overall thoughtful and tasteful accomodation - perfect for a stay in Mittenwald.
Close to the town, classic hotel with vintage feel. breakfast was nice and many choices. The room and the balcony was big and comfortable. The mini bar was free and had so many beers and sparkling water and juice to enjoy.
the view is amazing, the room is spacious and pretty well equipped with kitchenware, the hotel itself is a nice old building with a cool interior & a fireplace
