Convenient location for a visit to Switzerland at German prices. Located in a quiet German village overlooking the Rhein and the Swiss village of Rheinau. The apartment was superb, and the hostess was very kind, giving us fresh free-range eggs from her own chickens. She doesn't speak much English but we got through in broken German/English.

Owners met us at Jestetten bahnhof, and drove us to the apartment. Communication before arriving was excellent (thanks to Google translate), and they were so helpful, on arrival going above and beyond, they even gave us a lift back to Schaffhausen when we left. Their English was about as good as my German (not great} but we made ourselves understood, and its a testament, to their hospitality, that they were able to be so helpful . It is a little bit away from the nearest train station. but we knew this and enjoy walking, and even the walk home at night was enjoyable, but there was handy parking if you needed it,. No AC. and it was mid thirties, when we were there {during the summer heatwave) but the shutters during the day and windows at night kept it really comfortable. facilities were great and it was really excellent value for money. we loved the local walks and we will be returning (hopefully)

The property looks more beautiful in person than the photos, as it is newly renovated/ built, very clean, organized and quiet area as well. Not only the property is excellent, the owners (they live next door) are very accommodating and friendly, they provided excellent customer service to make our stay more comfortable. I suggest renting a car as the place is more on the countryside. ( parking is free) 35-45 mins walk to Rhine falls , Aldi is like 8 mins drive , also there is a small grocery 3 mins walk from the property. We were so glad to have stayed in their property. Great value for money. Highly recommendable.

Has to be the cleanest property we have stayed in over the past 10 years of continual travel. The place is spotless. The bathroom is also the largest that we have ever seen. WiFi is fast and reliable. The hosts are very special and couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed here to visit Rheinfall and do a small amount of walking in the area. The property is a couple of minutes drive to Jestetten which has a number of restaurants and supermarkets. Parking is free and secure as well as easy to access. The kitchen is functional and modern. Water pressure in the bathroom is excellent and the heating is very efficient and easy to manage. The little village is wonderfully quiet so a good night's sleep is assured.
