The apartment is located next to Rathenauplatz, one of the many small parks in the city. Our neighbourhood is referred to as "Kwartier Latäng", Cologne's very own, distinct Latin Quarter and home to many students of the nearby university. This translates to lots of eateries, bars, cafés and nightclubs. You can walk over to Cologne‘s famous pub street Zülpicher Straße in five minutes. Belgisches Viertel - the Belgian Quarter - with lots of small boutiques for shopping and more upscale restaurants and bars is about ten minutes away. Cologne is linked with Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris by Thalys and ICE high speed trains. Additionally, Frankfurt airport (FRA) has direct service to Cologne and is within one hour by ICE trains. Köln Messe / exhibition centre can be reached conveniently by public transport, direct connection from Köln Süd, trams run frequently all day long. Köln Süd / Cologne South is about five minutes to walk from the apartment.
