The StarlightInn is at a perfect location to start the Quilotoa loop. It is at walking distance from where the bus leaves you in Sigchos. The view is incredible. We were two couple of friends staying in two separate double rooms. Each room came with its own bathroom and shower. The dining room (where we also had our breakfast) has a nice big table, at night we sat by the heater and played some boardgames available for guests. The owners were kind and friendly. They were able to accommodate various dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free).

Lovely little hostel with insane views over the mountains. The room was little but very comfy. The host and the lama are super nice. We got free water, tee, and coffee and had a good lunch and breagt breakfast. For 3 USD, we got a lunchbox with a sandwich, apple, banana, cookies, chocolate, and little sweets. Just great. The host even gave us 2 poles for the hike. There is also a luggage transfer for 20 USD to the final hostel in Quilotoa. Definitely recommend.

Perfect place to stay in Sigchos for the Quilotoa loop as the trail starts next to the property. Viktor (unsure of spelling) was a lovely host and helpful. The views from the garden are amazing. The evening meal consisted of soup, meat, rice and juice. Breakfast was fruit, oats, yoghurt, eggs, bread and juice. Free tea, coffee and water. Packed lunches are available and well priced for what you get. Strong WiFi, hot shower and comfortable room.

Our stay here was incredible. The property is right next to the Quilotoa loop which made our start the next morning very easy and wonderful. The location has an absolutely incredible view that was such a joy to look at with a cup of tea. They provided free tea, coffee and bikes for use whenever needed. They also allow you to laundry for $5 per load (not kilo) which was so wonderful for us. The food was delicious and served at a common table so we were able to make great friends who we’ve been trekking with since! The owners are lovely, welcoming and very nice. There’s a llama called Rocky on the property who is very friendly and such a joy. Our room was wonderful and so beautiful. It was clean and bright with a big table which helped for packing. I couldn’t be happier with our peaceful stay here before our hike began.

The hostel is super cosy and has a beautiful view over the valley. The owners are super kind and the food is delicious! We had a comfortable room with bathroom. Also the location is super convenient right at the start of the walk. It is very quite and peaceful in the evenings. And they offer packed lunch which you can take with you on the walk. Definitely recommend to stay here!

We loved our stay at Starlight Inn. The beds were comfortable and were warm due to lots of blankets. The food was tasty and plentiful and we really appreciated the free tea and coffee. There is a lovely seating area outside which we enjoyed in spite of the rain as it is all undercover. There is also a little sitting room which was cosy. Staff were very friendly.

Starlight Inn is the ideal place to start the Quilotoa hike. Located just outside Sigchos the hostel provides excellent vistas of the surrounding countryside and is as charming during the sunset as it is at dawn. Billiard, board games, and a llama all included!
