A REST IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE The Hacienda Guamag Protective Forest and Vegetation is located in the buffer and influence zone of the Sangay National Park, at the beginning of the Llanganates – Sangay Ecological Corridor; in the Ulba parish of the Baños de Agua Santa canton province of Tungurahua. The entrance to the lodging of the Forest and Vegetation Protector Hacienda Guamag is by our tarabita that crosses over the Pastaza River 6 km from Baños via the Puyo and entrance to the Amazon, on the route to the waterfalls, a few minutes from the waterfalls the Mantle of the Bride and Pailón del Diablo. Where we find primary and secondary forest such as: mandur, alder, guarumo, myrtle, cedar, etc, and shrubs such as ferns, heliconias, begonias, anthuriums, orchids, etc. Hacienda Guamag became the first Protective Forest that includes criteria and mechanisms for the protection of the water resource, according to the publication of Ministerial Agreement No. 2021-28 of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition in the Official Register No. 527 of August 31, 2021.
