Our bungalows are situated at the beach of Playa Almardá (Sagunto) which belongs to the “Costa de Azahar” (Coast of the orange blossom) about 32 km north of Valencia, the third biggest city of Spain. The ancient city of Sagunto was founded by the Romans and has an amphitheatre dating from that time as well as ruins of a modern-time fortress. It has 60.000 inhabitants and is 8 km away. In Puerto Sagunto, 4 km south of Almardá, you will find all the shops (toys, articles of clothing) and supermarkets (Carrefour, Lidl, Aldi) you may need as well as various restaurants, bars and discotheques. On Thursdays and Saturdays, a market is held around the covered market. Playa de Canet is within walking distance (500 m) and has a yacht harbour, two supermarkets (Consum, Mercadona), restaurants, ice-cream parlours, and a market is held there every Sunday morning. Almardá is a small, quiet holiday district consisting mainly of bungalows and some apartment blocks. It is not an overcrowded tourist centre but a district where nature still reigns. On the other hand, it offers facilities meeting the requirements of everyday-shopping.
