This old farmhouse in a semi-abandoned aldea has been restored to take maximum advantage of its unique style and allow light, nature, and tranquility to be the main features. Nearby stunning viewpoints, steep vineyards, and the friendly people together with its central location make it a one-off experience.
We are a semi retired well-travelled couple and thus we know what a home from home is. Having lived and worked all over Europe we have settled here in rural Galicia and love to share the nature and sometimes quirkiness of this area with our guests.
Here are some highlights: Visit local adegas (winemaker). Walk in Europe's steepest vineyards. Take a tourist-train tour through the vineyards. A catamaran tour on the Rio Sil or Mino to see spectacular scenery from the water level. Walk the pasarella de Mau (Wooden walk way along the steep gorge of the river Mau). Indulge in the natural hot springs in Orense. Visit Lugo with the only remaining roman wall that encircles completely the old town. Find the milenum oaks. Take a kayak for a paddle on the rio Sil. The list is endless. We have prepared daily tour plans for our guests to make the most of their stay.
