Casa Maroma is a family owned boutique B&B, set in a charming traditional townhouse, tucked away in a quiet street. The property features contemporary yet authentic rooms, communal living space and roof terraces with sea views. Our Casa is where style, comfort and hospitality meet. With it's peaceful surroundings yet central location within Competa, our B&B is the perfect accommodation for a relaxing holiday or to explore the beautiful sights of Andalusia. Each room has it's own private bathroom, free wifi, TV, Air conditioning and complimentary tea, coffee and water. A Spanish inspired breakfast is served daily in either our communal dining room or roof top terrace, with it's stunning views of the surrounding mountains, nature and coast. We also offer room service for those preferring to dine within their own room. Our roof top bar is the perfect setting for a relaxing pre dinner drink, while soaking up the local atmosphere and watching the sunset into the Mediterranean Sea. There are no cooking facilities on site; however the Casa is situated within a 2 minute walk to the main Plaza Almijara, which is close to many of the village restaurants and bars.
Hola, we are Amber & Jason, your hosts at Casa Maroma. We left our hectic lives in the UK to live a slower way of life in the rural village of Competa, Malaga. Reflecting on our busy lives made us realise that we were missing an essential part of ourselves. We were searching for simplicity, the outdoors, to be surrounded by nature and to find the time to do things that make us feel alive. Our short winter evenings are spent cosying up in front of the wood burning fireplace, with candles burning and a glass of local red wine; while long summers mean days spent outside, long walks through the national parks and exploring the beautiful surrounding nature. Afternoon trips to the coast for a dip in the sea, then evenings spent on our roof terrace, absorbing the natural beauty, while watching the sun disappear into the Mediterranean sea. We look forward to welcoming you to Casa Maroma. We wish you a very pleasant stay & are available to help you arrange any activities or trips while staying with us.
The B&B is located within Competa, one of the most picturesque white washed villages in the Axarquia region of Andalusia Spain. Competa is nestled within the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountains, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and almond trees.
