The place is absolutely lovely, decorated with great taste and spotless. It is a lot more comfortable and spacious than other cave houses in the area. Both Dave and Lisa were extremely friendly and very helpful. They certainly made us feel at home. The house is ten minutes away from Baza and it is a great option if you’re travelling with friends or a large family, as there is plenty of space available for five or six people. There are some interesting trekking routes around and Sierra de Baza is just a stone’s throw from the place. Definitely, a great choice.

Welcome to Cuevas Azul our beautiful newly reformed cave house which is home from home near Baza, Granada. (Altiplano) Stunning views of the Sierra de baza which is south facing so sunny all day, ideal for taking a dip in the pool or just sunbathe on our sunloungers with a glass of wine. There are plenty of walks, places of historical interest, star gazing, local restaurants that offer delicious tapas and drinks at reasonable prices, and much much more. The cave is self catering, it has 3 bedrooms (2 x kingsize and 1 x superking with balcony), one of the bedrooms has a skylight in it. Kitchen and dining area are fully equiped, lounge area with comfy seating for upto 6 this area has a log burner, TV (package that has plenty to choose from), free wifi. Bathroom has extra large shower and there is a downstairs toilet. The cave maintains and average between 15-18 degrees all year round. Outside there is a private pool and sunbathing area with sunloungers, sunchairs and tables. an outside dining area with large table and chairs. A quirky outside cave snug area with cushions. BBQ facilities. We have plenty of off road parking. We invite you to come relax, unwind, explore, discover and make some fantastic memories of this enchanting, remarkable and delightful area of Spain. Dave and Lisa; We have been in Spain now for nearly 6 years, we lived near Cartagena (Murcia) for 4 years by the coast. We visited Baza (Andalucia, southern inland Spain) a few times and decided to move to this area and fell in love with cave living. We both have military backgrounds. We have spent over a year reforming the cave getting it ready for our Holiday Cave Rental VTAR GR 02461 and now settling into our new adventure. We invite you to come relax, unwind, explore, discover and make some fantastic memories of this enchanting, remarkable and delightful area of Spain.
Ideal for walker, mountain bikes, motorcross, horse riding, museums, many histrorical interests, local markets local restaurants. Cascamora is a local famous event in September which is so much fun local gathering. Feria (fair ground) beginning of Sepetmeber.
