La Casa Alegre (our Happy House) was our immediate and extended family home for many years, and now we're inviting guests to enjoy staying here as much as we did. The house is part of a friendly complex of 42 houses with lovely shady communal gardens, a large shared pool and baby pool. La Casa Alegre is a perfect destination for groups of families and friends. The ground floor has a large kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, front terrace with bbq and dining area, large living room with dining area and 2 back terraces to enjoy life al fresco. The first floor has 1 main double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden and en suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The two other double rooms on this floor have a shared bathroom. The top floor has a large living and dining area with its own kitchenette and a sofa bed, 2 double bedrooms, and a shared bathroom. Each bedroom has its own ceiling fan and there are also as many portable fans as rooms in the house. The house can be divided into two if your group would prefer that, as the top floor was renovated a couple of years ago as an independent flat with its own kitchenette and living and dining area. But it also works perfectly as one big open house too. If your group is made up of 6 people or less then you will have full use of the ground and first floors. For groups of 7 and up to 9 people, we will open the second floor. We do not rent to two independent groups, as we want you and your family or friends to feel completely at home and comfortable in your own space for your holiday. We want our guests to enjoy their stay as much as possible! We provide 4 deckchairs and a sun umbrella for you to take down to the beach or up to the pool. Also for days down at the beach, plastic plates and cups and a cool box for picnics. And 2 inflatable paddle surf boards with their pump and paddle kit We also provide a game box with games for kids (double badminton kit, boules, ring toss and bucket and spade).

We live nearby the property, and we are happy to help you with any special requests. Just let us know before you arrive or during your stay if you need any extra help, information or support. We really want all our visitors to love the Casa Alegre just as much as we do, and hope you will find it a true home from home. This will be our second year with Booking and we were so happy with the response in our first season. We are an international family and have traveled extensively around the world, generally preferring to stay in holiday homes and apartments rather than hotels. We believe that this has helped us think of everything so that all our guests have a wonderful holiday and a really special break when they stay in our Casa Alegre. If there is anything we haven't thought of that would make your stay even better..... just let us know!! This house was our home and also base for family celebrations for many years. Out of the different homes belonging to our different family members in UK or Spain, it was the only one big enough to host important events like Christmas, Easter holidays, hot summers, emblematic birthdays, important family reunions.. So it will always be special to us. We almost decided to put our happy house up for sale last year. But we couldn't really let go. So, then we thought, why not spruce it up after years of wear and tear, and hopefully spread the joy that our home gave us all to other friends and families who want to explore this part of Spain from a comfortable house full of happiness? Cabo de las Huertas is a quiet residential neighbourhood just a short walking distance away from the busy San Juan Beach in one direction and smaller coves and bays in the other. There are a couple of great local restaurants at the top of the road, and a small supermarket just a few minutes' walk away. And there are lots of local shops, banks, supermarkets and all kinds of fantastic restaurants and bars just a 5-minute drive away. There are bus and tram stops within walking distance of the house to take you to Alicante center or up the coast to the nearby town of Campello. San Juan Beach is lined with beach bars, sun beds, water sports facilities, games areas for children, fitness areas and beach volley and dozens of beach restaurants and bars.
