LA CASA DE LOS LAPICEROS is named after our collection of pencils that decorate the rooms of the house. We want you to feel as if some friends had left you their home. We leave our books and magazines for you to enjoy during your stay and we are happy to advise you on what to do in the city, where to eat, what to visit. What your friends would do in Talavera. The house honours the city where we are with a modest collection of ceramics. It is a space that reflects very well how we are and, in fact, it has been our home until very recently.
We love to travel and to welcome friends at home. That we want you to feel at home with friends is a statement of intent. We hope you feel at home and that you enjoy your stay.
LA CASA DE LOS LAPICEROS is just a few metres from the Puerta Zamora, which was one of the gates in the city walls and therefore the access to the old town of Talavera. You can walk around the walled area, visit the pottery museum, the ethnographic museum, the Colegial, and walk around the city enjoying the pottery murals installed in the river promenade and in some streets. The bars and restaurants of Corredera street in the old town are just a 10 minute walk away. In addition, the two most emblematic ceramic workshops in the city, el Centro Cerámico and Cerámica San Ginés, are just a few steps away from the flat.
