La Cueva de Miravet is a secluded luxury 7-bedroom + ensuite, mountain-top B&B ecolodge with sea views, located only 4km as the crow flies from the coast. Completely offgrid but with all amenities, the ecolodge provides a unique and luxurious ambience that few other B&Bs can match, with spectacular sea views, an incredible cave integrated into the back terrace, and a view onto the stunning Castillo de Miravet castle ruins. The ecolodge sits on 5 hectares and comprises 7 generously appointed bedrooms, each with comfortable queen-bed, ensuite bathroom and balcony and/or terrace with views. Two bedrooms are also designed with mobility-impaired people in mind. Guests love the huge terrace with incredible views of the sea, valley and castle ruins, with ample lounge seating and hand-crafted rustic fittings. Behind the ecolodge is our impressive cave terrace, a geological marvel completely unique in the zone and perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. Also included are a large lounge and bar area, dining area with partial cave wall and rustic fittings, and full professional kitchen. Of course, no day is complete without soaking in the hot tub (or cold tub for those hot summer days!), with spectacular sea and valley views.
The La Cueva team is available to support you and your guests during your stay, and can suggest further activities upon booking. The team speaks the following languages: - English - Spanish - Catalan - French - Japanese Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner can be arranged at an additional fee. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: - No air-conditioning: The ecolodge has been designed to not require air-conditioning (i.e. 50 to 60cm walls), and when curtains are drawn and doors kept shut it will remain cool during summer. We have provided ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living areas as well, so rest assured that you will not over-heat during your stay. - Off-grid: Our ecolodge is entirely off-grid. Overuse of energy may result in power cutting out, and similarly over-consumption of water will empty the tanks quickly. Guests should minimise their energy and water consumption as much as possible. But don't worry, we come prepared and normal usage won't be a problem :) - No swimming pool: As an ecolodge, we have taken the decision to not put a swimming pool in order to reduce water impacts in this very dry region. We do have a very large hot-tub (2m diameter) which serves the same purpose and has spectacular views.
The ecolodge is located close to the village of Cabanes, the beach, Castellon airport, and numerous key touristic areas. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: - Access road: The last portion of the access road to the ecolodge up until our entrance, which is unsurfaced, is maintained by the local council, and sometimes the initial 500m up the mountainside may be slightly rough especially after storms. We regularly take this road with non-4WD vehicles with no incidents, and it is safe when driven slowly and carefully. WE DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCIDENTS OR BREAKDOWNS - TAKING THE ROAD IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. - Cave access: Entrance into the cave entrance area as well as the cave opening is not permitted without signing an indemnification form. Descending into the cave is not permitted without prior written approval from La Cueva de Miravet, and must be undertaken with a suitably trained guide. We can provide this service at additional cost based on guide availability. -Please note that pricing is provided with the idea that there will be 2 guests per room. If two or more of you want a room for your own, please select 2 guests in the booking options or contact us.
