A charming townhouse in the centre of the historic old town of Frigiliana, and situated on the site of the old village cinema. It has a private courtyard shared between 4 properties. There are 2 spacious bedrooms with ceiling fans and mosquito nets on windows, 2 shower rooms, lovely living space/kitchen, and 2 fabulous terrace areas. A new 43 inch Samsung LCD TV shows all UK channels, including SKY sports/movie channels, BT Sport. Our netflix account is available. Amazon Alexa also. Fibre Optic broadband has recently been installed with high speed wi-fi. Air-con in lounge area only. The ground floor sleeping accommodation offers coolness in the height of summer. The first floor has a large spacious living area and kitchen. The kitchen also includes a small dishwasher, new fridge/freezer and a new oven/hob. Double doors lead out onto a south/west facing terrace offering stunning views across the Frigiliana countryside, and to the coast. The second floor has a room with daybed for relaxing or reading, and a bathroom and shower. Double doors lead to a large south/west facing roof terrace offering the most incredible views across the village, countryside and to the coast.

My wife (Debbie) and I are from Scotland. I am a retired police officer, married, and enjoy walking, cycling and travelling. We have two grown up daughters, both currently working on a Super Yachts (not a bad life!). We both enjoy walking, travel, and spending time with family. We bought this property in 2017 and it is now our home over the winter months. We have made quite a few changes in the short time we have owned it, and hope you find it as comfortable and welcoming as we do.

The old town’s narrow, winding cobbled streets are full of interesting shops and bars, and best explored on foot. (There are over 40 restaurants in Frigiliana). Small plazas provide you with the chance to sit under a tree and watch daily life unfold. Twelve distinctive mosaics by the artist Pilar Garcia Millan adorn the walls and depict the history of the village. Above sit the remains of a Moorish castle (15 minute walk, offering fabulous views of the village, countryside and coast) while in the centre of the village you will find the parish church of San Antonio. It is of 16th century construction and is home to three excellent 17th century paintings. There is a fantastic large public swimming pool only a two minutes walk down steps adjacent to the apartment. The pool enjoys spectacular views, and has an adjoining bar for snacks/refreshments. The pool is only open between 20 June and 10 September. Being on the edge of the Sierra Tejada and Almijara National Park, Frigiliana lends itself to wonderful walks and bike rides. There are many activities nearby including kayaking, hillwalking, off road adventures, and even skiing in Sierra Nevada (until early May).
