The kindness of the hostess above all, the wild surroundings, the traditional sauna (with cold bath!), the simple yet cozy cabin, the fact that you can borrow snowshoes and skis, and the night sky views! We stayed one night and would have happily extended it if we had had the flexibility!

We really liked the entire place, it is very charming. The sauna is honestly the best we have seen during our trip, you cannot miss it. Also, there is a hole of water called « the path of the heros » where you can jump after the sauna if you dare 😁. Also the host is very kind, and the snowshoes are high quality. The last thing to mention is the value for money, which is outstanding !

I was surprised with my wife, how amazing accommodation was that. The host - Riitta was very kindful and helpful. The cabin was ready for us perfectly. She taked care about us. She prepared sauna, which is totally traditional, not electric, but wood heated, wonderful experience. Everything from eco materials, wood everywhere you can look. Unfortunately we could be there only one night, I hope we visit the camp again, we want that certainly, maybe also in the summer. Also you can borrow ski or snowshoes or you can use a typical Finnish Kota. Our dinner in Kota was also wonderful and authentic moment in our lives. We hold our fingers Riitta in her bussiness and we wish a lot of clients. Thank you for everything !

If you are looking for the great outdoors, peace & quiet I cannot recommend this place enough. An absolute GEM in Rovaniemi. Away from all the commercial touristic usuals. Elämysmajoitus Eco-Unela embraces the true Finnish outdoors. Traditional Sauna, Heroes bath (for the brave), and just beautiful nature. Also a great location if you want to catch the northern lights around a campfire.

El entorno es fantástico. Fuimos en marzo, aún estaba todo nevado y el paisaje era precioso. La habitación es en una casita de madera con un gran ventanal desde el que ves el paisaje y el cielo. La propietaria fue muy amable y dispuesta a ayudarnos en todo momento. Nos preparó una sauna tradicional y pudimos bañarnos en el agua helada en un agujero en el hielo. También tuvimos esquíes y raquetas a nuestra disposición. La experiencia fue bonita.

Dit is een absolute aanrader! De gastvrouw runt de accommodatie met hart en ziel, dat kan je voelen. De faciliteiten zijn ook uitmuntend: er is een sauna met koud waterput, hot tub, ski’s en sneeuwschoenen, enz. Niet twijfelen, je zult je het niet beklagen! Wunderschöne und liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit einer sehr zuvorkommenden Gastgeberin. Riita lies uns keine Wünsche offen - wir werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt sicherlich länger bleiben. Hier kann man definitiv vom stressigen Alltag mal abschalten. Sei es bei einer Schneeschuhwanderung durch den Wald, einem gemütlichen Lagerfeuer, beim Eisbaden oder in der Sauna. Es war für uns Erholung pur, wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Anreise vom Flughafen Rovaniemi ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto, sprich weitere Freizeitaktivitäten sind in der Nähe mehr als genügend vorhanden. Kurzum - wir sehen uns wieder!
