Our kind hosts (also their dogs) did everything to make us feel home, we had dinner with them, they prepared the sauna and the place is perfect for seeing northern lights as it is far away from any light pollution and directly by the lake.

This is such a quiet and down to earth place amongst the trees on the lake edge where you get a chance to meet and chat with the hosts in a homely environment . Breakfast was lovely and sociable as was dinner The traditional sauna is a must! The cabin is small but warm and comfy and you feel you are treebathing!

The cutest dogs, the whole place is really nice and cozy. The hosts are easy going. The tiny house is nice but small, we really enjoyed the fireplace. The location directly at the lake on which you can walk in the winter is awesome.

The best place to spend your time in Finnish Lapland! Katja and Joni were so lovely and welcoming and made our trip so easy, including organising airport pickup and delicious breakfast and dinner. The property itself is beautiful (with friendly dogs and horses as well) and very secluded. Definitely recommend that you utilise the sauna and jump into the snow to cool down! what an amazing stay!! it was my highlight of visiting lapland... everyone was really friendly and always helpful and nice to talk to! the dogs are all very cute and also very friendly! the nature around is breathtaking and very calming.

The decor was charming, it was a beautiful log cabin styled home. I love that there was always mood lighting like candles around the place. The hosts were so kind and went above and beyond in every way possible. The location, while it was a while from Rovaniemi, it offered peace and serenity AND you can see the northern lights right there from the property instead of paying for an excursion. We recommend booking a rental car so you have total independence. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts kindly let us access coffee/tea throughout the day. The sauna was fantastic also! Definitely add this to your stay :)

Everything, the host was always attentive and helped us with everything we needed. They even provided breakfast for us at 4 am so we wouldn’t fly out on an empty stomach. They have the friendliest dogs ever, their sauna si top notch, the horses are amazing… it all feels like a dream

The hosts are amazing! Such lovely people, including the dogs (playful and polite), and the place was very cozy. Katjia cooks yummy food and they are very helpful with the activities offered by them within our schedule. And the best is that they also offer pickup and drop off service for the ones without car rental and is very worthy to get 1h drive to reach this peaceful and blessed place. Everything is new in the farm and the decoration is very welcoming.

We absolutely LOVE this place. We are 3 friends travelling together and we booked the Chalet. The cabin where we slept is picture perfect, minty fresh clean. We were smitten with the cozy fireplace inside. Although it's in the middle of the forest in the cold, the heating system did a wonderful job keeping us warm. The sauna and BBQ hut give us an authentic experience of Northern Finland. The hosts - Katja, Joni, Veera, and Jenna (apologies if I've misspelled any names), were incredibly kind and went out of their way to assist us. And I save the best for last, the hosts have 3 therapy dogs and horses. They are the loveliest creatures you will ever meet.

Die Lage, abgeschieden von der Welt direkt am See zwischen den Bäumen war für uns ein Highlight. Auch Katja und Joni sind sehr bemüht ihren Gästen einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Die Hunde haben uns jeden Morgen begrüsst zum Frühstück. Ich empfehle ebenfalls einen Besuch in der Sauna am See und unbedingt mit einem Auto anzureisen, da Kotatuli doch etwas abgelegen ist.
